Windows 10: Child's Microsoft Account Locked - Unable to Verify

I recently added two new child accounts to my Microsoft family. One of the child accounts is currently locked. When attempting to sign in, it prompts for phone verification. As the account holder is a child, they do not have their own phone. I've tried using my phone number, but the system states this isn't a valid verification method. I'm unable to find any other options to unlock the account. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

It is unusual that you are required to verify the child's account multiple times.

I suggest you to try removing the child account and re-add it and check if the issue persists. Refer the link below for reference:

So I logged in as the child account and it told me to verify my account, now when I closed it, it keeps popping up. Next I clicked verify and it told me to enter a code by a parent email. Now I clicked SKIP (5 days) and now I want to verify my account. Do I still have to wait 5 days?

We understand the concern as you are unable to change your child’s Microsoft Account password. In this scenario, we would suggest you to perform these steps.

1. Login to
   www.login.live.com using your child’s Microsoft Account.
2. Click on forgot password.
3. Check the radio button and enter the Email account to send the code.
4. In case you don’t have access to that verification email account then click on
   I don’t have any of these.
5. Now follow the onscreen steps and check if you are able to reset the password.
