Windows 10: Chinese fonts display problem in pdf file

hi Microsoft Team, I want to report the Chinese fonts display problem in PDF files.Below is the similar case I saw in community.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/edge-pdf-chinese-characters-display/10349b0f-3ee9-436e-bc94-6351be088cc8But I think it isn't related to Microsoft Edge, because in my laptop I can not see Chinese fonts either in Chrome. If I open it in adobe reader with Chinese fonts package installed, the invoice can be opened normally.on the other hand, there are two desktopOptiplex in office can display the invoice normally with same window system.my w

but my goal is not just MS Word , but the entire or at least 90% of OS displaying Chinese words. I have found fonts which has Chinese characters with pinyin on it , but i don't know how to set those fonts as system display fonts / language.
do you have any idea on it ?

 

How to display Chinese characters

Found some nice pix of those finger mountains in Zhangjiajie, China, and (since also slowly learning Chinese) would like to _include_ Chinese characters in their file titles, _without_ changing my default UK English input/display language. The Chinese characters display fine, no problems, but Win10 won't accept them in file naming, shows error that certain (regular kb chars, not Chinese) characters not accepted for file names. I don't remember having this problem in Win7.
--- I suspect the solution is in changing the font types(??) from TTF (as shown in Control Panel > Fonts > (eg: MingLiuHKCSRegular) > Properties) to UTF-8 (or 16 or 32, I now see) , but how ?

 

Ovi Store Not Compatible with Chinese Fonts

If you've replaced/overriden the default/system fonts with your own, and some applications no longer work, then the fonts - evidently - cause problems for said app.



As this is probably not something that Nokia supports, fixing it is most likely not high on Nokia's list of priorities, as from Nokia's point of view, the solution is: Do not install such fonts (or uninstall any that you have installed).



To get supported Chinese fonts, you'd need to get a device with Chinese language and font support in the firmware. Nokia isn't selling any phones with Chinese support in Canada, though, so for a supported phone you'd need to import the phone from a Chinese
speaking region (such as Singapore, Hong Kong or Taiwan) yourself.



All I can suggest is:

- Don't use self-installed Chinese fonts, if you also need to use Ovi Store, or

- Try to find other Chinese language fonts, that the Ovi Store app might be happy with, or

- Live without Ovi Store, if having Chinese support is of higher priority to you, or

- Get an N8 manufactured with Chinese support in the firmware



In addition, you can of course report this issue to Nokia Customer Care, and maybe Nokia will address this in a future Ovi Store release, or a future firmware release for the N8. Not very likely, though, so the above suggestions are more likely your only
options.
