Windows 10: Chinese input lag after switch

When I switch to the Chinese input method from another language and start typing immediately, there is a delay of several seconds with no response, and after then all the characters I just typed suddenly appear.

Yes, you may use Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard) for both Simplified and Traditional Chinese input. Here's
how you can switch between Simplified and Traditional Chinese input when using Microsoft Pinyin (keyboard):

1. Go to Settings > Time & Language >
   Region & language.
2. Under Languages, select Chinese (Simplified). If you have not installed it yet, click on
   Add a language and search for Chinese (Simplified).
3. Click Options and choose Microsoft Pinyin under
   Keyboards.
4. Click Options > Keys > Hot keys.
5. Under the Simplified/Traditional Chinese input switch option, turn it
   On.

1. Are these laptops connected to domain network?
2. Do you get any error message or code when you try to install?
3. Is the issue specific to Chinese Traditional input language?
