Windows 10: Chkdsk: Disk read error occurred c0000185

Hello,I thought I would be free from errors after reinstalling Windows, but now all of the sudden it got much more worse: I had even been able to restore my accounts & so. Now, literally all of the sudden, I cannot even start the PC. I cannot pass the recovery screen & I just can't login.As most people, I just can't spend to have three or four backup computers “just in case”. Furthermore, as most people, I'm not a technical Windows expert…I just want to know if my PC is gone for good & the reason, as literally nothing had happened before. As far as the Disk read errors, try running a chkdsk on the drive first. And, check you smart data for the drive.
But, really, a little more info would be nice.

I tried to install windows 2000, and after i do a format, and after it copies the files, it says the computer must be restarted, but after it restarts, i get a message that says:

"A Disk Read Error Occurred"

Do i have to hit f6 and install something?
i do have SATA.

/p flags good, I'm still thinking it's something in your boot sector and not hardware related.

Try this:

Insert your XP disk and boot from the disk
Select recovery console
follow the promts until you are in DOS
C:\windows
at the above prompts type FIXMBR

Why?
This will fix the Mater Boot Record for Windows it will ask you if you are sure and follow the prompts

once complete type CHKDSK /r
that is CHKDSK space /r
this will check the disk and repair any bad sectors

once complete type exit
