    chkdsk gives error code - 726173642e637878 25f

One of my partition is not opening. It gives The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. After some googling I have found that chkdsk would resolve my issue. But it gives "An unspecified error occurred" with error code 726173642e637878 25f
    .
I can not find any solution regarding this error.

I have attached my console output.

    ERROR: 0x080070017

Everytime I try to reinstall Windows, it will go up to 90% and give the error code as mentioned above. I ran chkdsk and got this: Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50.

  3. Windows 10 update, pc wont boot up and system restore fails

My system is pc, windows 10 home, cant access settings as it just gives me a blue screen with options to reset and troubleshoot but all options give me "there was an error restoring/repairing your pc" Running chkdsk /r/x and it says it will take 89 hours.
Not getting any error codes just prompts saying there was an error.

I tried looking for 726173642e637878 25f but had no luck, it kind of looks like an offset of some kind maybe a database. You might have better luck looking in eventviewer to see if it can shed more light on that error code. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html

If you find anything in option one post a snip, option two use the cmd Brink posted to create a .txt file and post that.

Most drive mfg's have drive tools that could run a chkdsk, you might want to look into that.

I am not sure what you mean by data partition. This is the D drive of my PC.

  10. I asked if it were a data partition as your opening post mentioned one of your partitions. With data I would be doing what you are doing, trying to recover. If this was a recovery partition or OS I would likely just head to re-install.

Hope you get this fix. Hopefully NavyLCDR suggestion works.

    Hi all,

sorry for the necro, but might as well continue here as this is exactly my issue.

booted up tonight, got a message saying "press any key to skip disk check", long story short one of my drive partitions [G] is giving me the "disk structure is corrupt and unreadable". i have two drive in my machine, SSDs, one for the C drive and this one split into E, F and G drives. E and F are fine, it seems.
a bit googling suggested i run chkdsk in various forms, but i get the exact error code above. another site suggested downloading Minitool Partition wizard, i followed the instructions at Quickly Fix - The Disk Structure Is Corrupted and Unreadable and all the thing seems to do is run chkdsk :-/ i ran first in scan only mode and it did a percent or so then said it couldn't continue in read only mode, so i selected the fix option and it just immediately came up w/ that error code and nothing else, no message or suggestions how to continue.

any help would be appreciated, if this partition totally dead now?
Disk Management show the drive correctly lettered but says it's RAW and 100% free, healthy primary partition. chkdsk shows it as NTFS

    TIA

I've asked someone who knows a lot about data recovery to join thread. He is halfway around the world so it is night time there. Thought it was worth a shot.

The RAW indicator is as though it was wiped, not formatted.

    1. Please unplug all external HDDs and Flash drives from your machine and post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management
    2. Download, install and run MiniTool Partition Wizard Free version 9.1 and post a screenshot of how your drive appears in it. - the very first screen on launching it. Download version 9.1 from here. MiniTool Partition Wizard Free 10.2.2 Download for Windows / Old Versions / FileHorse.com (Do not install any higher version 10.0, 10.1,10.2.1 or 10.2.2. Stick to version 9.1 )
