Windows 10: "CHKDSK is resetting USN information..." message stuck at 2%, what?

I did the disk check today May 3 after a couple of attempts doing the CHKDSK thing.I did the disk check right now using command prompt without doing the next reboot and I started it at 1:12 PM with no issues. But after at about 3:00 PM it says this:"34986 data files processed.CHKDSK is verifying Usn Journal...Repairing Usn Journal $J data stream.CHKDSK is resetting Usn information...2 percent completed."I have no idea what to do right now, should I stop the disk check? Will it delete all of its data? Or is it normal?Please tell me what to do with this, I tried searching with this message "CH

Stuck at 64% after reset.

Why is chkdsk stuck at 11%

I would suggest you read these, then decide how to proceed. Note 11% is a figure that has been observed.
Also consider with which parameters you are running chkdsk, and the comments about patience and time.

 

How to recover the lost messages?


1. Re-create your mail folder hierarchy by dragging folders into place in the Folder list. Note that any folder you have created to group sub-folders but that does not itself contain messages will not appear in the Folder list and so must be created again.
2. Re-download the list of newsgroups from each news account.
3. Reset your subscribed newsgroups and download messages again.
4. Reset synchronization options on IMAP and newsgroup folders.
5. Edit any message rule that moves or copies messages to folders other than the Inbox.
These are the steps from which you can get the lost information back. And if your information not recovered again then it might be severe problem .In this case you have to go for recovery software to get your dbx files data back.
