    Chrome "Aw, Snap": Solution, Not Renaming EXE


    This is not a question, rather, it's a post that I hope will help someone else. Like many people/orgs we recently were impacted with the Chrome "Aw, Snap" error. In our case, the error code was: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION.Most posted answers included a "solution" to rename the Chrome.exe. That worked for a bit but made no sense.That is, until I found the Windows 10 Exploit Protection system settings. Running this app and checking under Program Settings, I found Chrome.exe with a series of options. For us, we needed to disable an option via our GPOs.
