Windows 10: Chrome browser

Discus and support Chrome browser in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; I have a shortcut to open my Chrome browser on my taskbar. Every time I open Chrome I get this pop-up message: [img] I then have to click "yes"... Discussion in 'Browsers and Email' started by Atomcrusher, Oct 20, 2015.

    Chrome browser


    I have a shortcut to open my Chrome browser on my taskbar. Every time I open Chrome I get this pop-up message:

    I then have to click "yes" for Chrome to open. My Chrome browser is up to date. This has only happened recently. Any idea what causes this annoyance? I've been using Chrome browser for years with no previous problems

    YES it IS possible to use Chromecast with Edge

    This is a kludge - but it works

    OPEN the Chrome browser and start casting to screen.

    CLOSE the Chrome browser

    OPEN the Edge browser

    Casting to screen continues as normal even though the Chrome Browser is closed.

    (Chrome browser is closed or as good as -cos it sure aint on the taskbar)

    Windows Phone 7 is not equal to Windows 7 and therefore it cannot run IE9. IE on Windows Phone is also completely different to IE on Windows and you cannot say that they are IE7/8. As far as I know there are no mobile OS's that run Chrome and so your wish
    is very unlikely to come true. For now you'll have to deal with IE on Windows Phone which in my opinion is extremely good.

    Chrome browser

    Your shortcut advanced properties will probably say "Run as administrator" - uncheck this and the UAC notification should disappear. Otherwise, just delete the shortcut and create a new one.

    It is insecure and bad practice to run a browser as Administrator - click on a bad link and serious damage could result to your system.
