  1. chrome / firefox using 100% cpu even when youtube only or nothing is opened.

when i open my laptop, my fan suddenly spins to its full speed. and then i open my task manager, there i see chrome and its cpu usage is 100% then i press end task and the fan stops. in firefox also, when i open firefox, two tabs open in task manager, one shows true cpu usage and the tabs but the another firefox shows 100% cpu usage, then i press end task on the 100% one, then my fan stops, the current tabs i was using were not closed .. so what are the ghost chrome and firefox tabs in task managers using 100% cpu even i was using nothing ?? chrome / firefox using 100% cpu even when youtube only or nothing is opened. fc7e8d89-6bf1-409a-a3fc-71cdcfecdb68?upload=true.png

  2. Chrome and Firefox not opening after Windows update.

Somehow chrome & firefox have appeared in the list of forbidden aplications in family panel of Microsoft account.

That's why these apps were closing just after you have opened them.

Removing chrome & firefox from that list solves the problem.

    Have a nice day.

  3. Youtube locking computer, both in Chrome and FireFox.

That is quite odd, I use Youtube everyday with Firefox 58 and Firefox 59 BETA 3 without any problems.

Windows 10 - Chrome and firefox are not working

This helped me with Chrome but not with Firefox.

I opened Control Panel>Troubleshooting>Programs>Advanced, Run as Administrator and then went through the steps. My problem was the Chrome wouldn't start at all, so I went through the steps and it asks what program you're having problems with, I chose Google
Chrome, it'll go through a short diagnostic and then give you the option of Troubleshoot Program & then it gives a list of problems. I chose the first one: This program worked in earlier versions.... then click next, I clicked Windows 7, then next and it did
it's little fix. I tested and Chrome opened up just fine.

No such luck for Firefox, though.
