    Chrome keeps freezing


    Ever since i bought my Surface 3 laptop a week ago my Chrome has been freezing multiple times per day. I've tried:

    - Re-installing chrome

    - Disabling all my extensions

    - Updating Chrome & Windows

    - Clearing history & cache

    So i was wondering if Chrome freezing can be linked to an issue with Windows or is it always Chrome related ? Any possible fixes i have not tried ?

    There may be a few reasons why your Google Chrome keeps on freezing. One reason is the browser that you're using. For us to further isolate your concern, we need you to answer the following:



    • Is this happening on other browsers as well (e.g. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox)?
    • Does the issue persist only on a specific website or it occurs on all websites?

    Google Chrome keep freezing

    I am running windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I have been doing so for quite some time and using Google Chrome as my browser with no problems whatsoever. Recently, however, Google Chrome has been freezing. Then I have to press control+alt+delete
    and bring up my task manager to shut google down. I have McAfee antivirus plus software and Malwarebytes installed on my computer. When I restart my computer, I see a brief message that GDI+ window is preventing the computer from shutting down. Then my
    computer will shut down, and restart, and I can use my Google Chrome browser for a short time again before it re-freezes. Any suggestions as to how to solve my problem will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Chrome keeps freezing on Windows 10

    i have been experiencing this for some time. i was hoping to find an answer. the entire machine freezes- no way to move the cursor and pressing ctrl-alt-delete does nothing. worse yet, there is no event listed in the eventvwr. it seems to do this only
    on chrome, which is my preferred browser.
