Windows 10: Chrome Taskbar Thumbnail Preview turns into a white screen

Basically if I minimize a chrome window, sometimes the taskbar preview just turns into a white screen. The earliest I can remember it happening was after I reset my PC keep personal files on Wednesday March 10, 2021. It happens more often when using a tab which is actively using my microphone or webcam mostly google meet. I have tested using google meet on different browsers brave, edge and they all have the same issue. After clicking on the window to reopen it, it does show the normal window instead of the white screen. I have tried the following solutions:

- Reset my PC keeping personal files, issue started after doing this
- Deleted GPU Cache and all local appdata for chrome, does not fix it
- Cleared my history, cache, web settings all of the things in advanced history clearing options, does not fix it
- Reinstalled NVIDIA GPU Drivers multiple times and also using DDU, does not fix it
- Reinstalled AMD Chipset Drivers multiple times, does not fix it

- Change Power Plans in Windows Settings, does not fix it

- Tried a different HDMI cable, does not fix it

- Changed NVIDIA Control Panel settings around, does not fix it

- Tried different browsers, same issue
- Changed the "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" setting, does not fix it
- Set Hardware Acceleration to off fixes it but this also causes screen tearing when doing anything on that browser so I don't want to use this solution

- Tried using a different account on my PC, same issue

Is there any way to fix this or will I need to do an RMA on any of my parts?

Turn off taskbar thumbnail previews in Windows 10 Pro?

Sorry, newbie question....I just migrated to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and I don't like the behavior of Windows 10 where when you hover over a taskbar app at the bottom of the screen, it gives you a thumbnail preview of any open windows in the apps.

I prefer the previous behavior of Windows 7, where you got a *text list* of the open windows for each app, but not a thumbnail for each app.

I found a supposed fix online at: Turn Off Taskbar Thumbnail Previews in Windows 7/8/10 .

The fix was called "Turn Off Taskbar Thumbnail Previews in Windows 7/8/10"

I followed the instructions to disable taskbar previews in group policy, and I found the correct setting to toggle, but even after rebooting the machine, it didn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

Windows 10 tiles are blank / white with no thumbnail icons!

Running Windows 10 operating system... I have the same issue but on my desktop and Taskbar at the bottom of the screen... White Box Icon... If I click the start it shows the correct icon but if I open it from there it shows white on the task bar...

Tried this:

Method 1: You may also try to enable or disable the thumbnail preview using group policy editor.

Follow the steps to do so:

• Press Windows and R key together to open the run box.
• Type “gpedit.msc” in the box and hit Enter.
• Now, navigate to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, and Start Menu and Taskbar in left pan of Group Policy Editor.
• Locate “Turn off Taskbar Thumbnails” in right pane of Group policy editor and double click on it.
• Select Disable and click on Apply and then on OK.
• Check if you are able to view the images.

But computer said no file found...

 

Disable Taskbar Thumbnail Preview?

Hey there,

I was just searching the internet for ways to disable the Taskbar Thumbnail Preview in Windows 10, and I found one that half-worked (only some apps use list view instead of thumbnails). I was wondering if there was a way to completely disable the preview?
I am alright editing the registry.
