Windows 10: Chrome using full CPU when idle

When I start my laptop, my laptop fans were running too fast so I checked the task manager and found that chrome is using 80% ~ 100% CPU even when I didn't open chrome. This is happening almost every time. I always have to open the task manager and end task for chrome.I don't usually use chrome because I've kept it just to access chrome's history which I browse on my phone so I use it a few times a week only.If I'm not using chrome then why is chrome using so much CPU? RAM usage is only around 100 MB. I have got an i5-1035G1 processor. Also, no extensions are installed on chrome. I searched th

System Idle Process High CPU Usage

OK, your CPU is running flat out but, as I mentioned before, the cause is something other than the System Idle process. Assuming that you killed Google Chrome before taking this snapshot, it must be some background process that's responsible. I recommend
you do this:

1. Run msconfig.exe.
2. Click the Services tab.
3. Tick the box to hide all MS services.
4. Disable the rest.
5. Reboot.
6. Check if the CPU loading remains at 100%.

System Idle Process, as the name suggests is a process that indicates CPU is idle and is not being used, aka is at rest. This is done to totalize CPU usage to 100 between the processes.

So you do not have to worry about anything.
