Chrome window option is set to maximized...but not always opens maximized

Good afternoon,After setting Chrome run option as Maximized, I started testing.I always have 1 Chrome window with several tabs opened let's call it perm window so when I want to open a new window I do right click on the perm window tab and select new window...so here it comes the fun:- If perm window is maximized, then the new window will open maximized.- If perm window is minimized, then the new window will open really small.So...why happens this? Is there any way to open new window always maximized? Thanks in advance!

    :)

  2. Unable to maximize a window

After upgrading to windows 10 windows opened on taskbar and would not maximize. For example Google Chrome with my
website. I can select Start button and open an application like Word but it also opens in thumbnail like window on the taskbar and canot be maximized.

    Already try

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    sfc /scannnow

Windows don't maximize or maximize in background

I'm running Windows 10 on a lenovo laptop.

I'm having an ongoing problem with windows from the taskbar not maximizing - or possibly maximizing in the background. Meaning, I have to minimize other windows to see them.

If I click on an open window in the taskbar sometimes it open up, sometimes it just blinks as if selected but does not maximize on my screen.

I promise, cross my heart, it is not maximizing off screen. Promise.

    I'm decently computer saavy, I have -

    - Tried showing the windows stacked, side by side, cascaded, or whatever options are available

    - I do not have other monitors connected

    - Alt-tab works

    - I first noticed the problem going between Chrome and Word, but now have it with other programs as well. It could have been a problem with other programs all along but I didn't realize because I tend to use Chrome and World and switch between them a lot

    - I swear, it's really not maximizing the windows off screen

    - My software is current

    - I have admin privileges and it's the only account

    - I don't install much on the computer in terms of widgets and such, and did not notice the problem correlating with anything but wouldn't swear to it

    - I have not tried it in safe mode - this is something I could try - I can't remember if I can go online in safe mode. If I'm not online I'm not sure I would use enough programs to replicate the problem

    - Please don't tell me to reinstall windows. At that point I'd rather deal with this until I have to buy a new computer

    - Promise, the windows aren't maximizing off screen. They're there when I minimize the top window. (this is the only solution I can find online and it's making me a bit insane Chrome window option is set to maximized...but not always opens maximized :) )

    THANK YOU!

opening apps in task bar maximized

Like most people I expect, I've organized my shortcuts on the desktop so that some apps open minimized, some normal, and some maximized. This is done right-clicking on the shortcut, opening the properties window and choosing in the 'run' window whichever
size you prefer for that particular app/program. For example, I like to open file explorer as large as possible, i.e. maximized.

When it comes to shortcuts on the taskbar, however, I've never found a method which works. Take the file explorer shortcut. I can do this:

right-click folder which brings up the following list of options: desktop, downloads, documents, pictures, file explorer, unpin from taskbar

I right-click file explorer, then on 'properties' then choose run 'maximized', and click OK

Next time I click on the file explorer shortcut on the taskbar, instead of opening maximized, it opens in normal size.

I can maximize it manually of course, but it doesn't remember this, and the next time I open it from the taskbar, it's back to normal again.

This has been going on in multiple versions of Windows, at least back to Windows 7 and 8.

Does anybody have a solution to this?
