Windows 10: chrome, zoom doesn't show up in microphone and camera settings.

so, I'm in :OS Name : Microsoft Windows 11 Home Single Language Version : 10.0.22631 Build 22631 System Type : x64-based PC I'm unable to grant access of microphone and camera to chrome or zoom app.in the : privacy & security > camera > let apps access your camera.and privacy & security > microphone > let apps access your microphone.my applications, like chrome and zoom are not getting listed.

Camera works just fine. How do I turn on the microphone? I don't want it on all the time.

Start Zoom app, then right click on the Zoom icon in System Tray > Settings then select Video from Settings -

Do you see yourself or any image from camera? Then next click Audio from same Zoom settings window and test speaker and microphone. See if that helps confirm your camera, microphone, and speakers/headphones are recognized and operational in Zoom.

I have found the Zoom app very useful for confirming my camera, microphone, and speakers are working on my PC *Smile Much easier than Windows anyway.

 

Zoom, Microsoft TEAMS, Google meet, and any online app not getting permission to use microphone/ camera

Camera and microphone are not connecting when using Zoom, TEAMS, or Google Meet. However, it works when using Skype which is downloaded on the laptop. The default camera app on the laptop has functioning microphone and video.

I have gone through the permissions settings on windows and have made sure that the apps have the relevant permissions. I have also updated the driver. Nothing makes a difference. Cannot use Zoom etc on Chrome, or any other browser.

The Zoom and TEAMS apps do not show up on the list below. And they also do not show on the similar list for Camera settings.

Urgent help needed! Have interviews for job and they're all on Zoom and/ or TEAMS.
