    Chromium-based browsers crashing within 5 minutes.


    I have an Acer nitro 5 AN515-57. It's been a month since I got it and have tried using many browsers on it. Mainly I use Opera GX chromium-based and Google chrome. Both these browsers are facing crashes, and all windows logs show in event viewer is app crashed, event ID 1002. I have tried doing everything. Uninstalling and reinstalling browsers, installing them to a different location, clearing data, even Reinstalling windows 10 entirely, but the issue is still there. I have turned to Firefox for browsing the internet and it seems to be working perfectly fine. Any help would mean a lot.

    Cannot uninstall Chromium browser at all on Windows 10.

    followed the steps you have posted here and was doin' great until the very last step. opened my C: drive but no Chromium folder listed. any other suggestions? really want Chromium off my system as it's a pain in the butt!!!!

    Chromium-based browsers crashing within 5 minutes.

    Chromium as default browser windows 10

    I don't have chromium (or chrome) installed so I may not be able to help.

    try changing from within chromium

    • Click on the Wrench icon and select Options
    • In the Basics tab, click on Make Chromium my default browser in the
      Default browser section.
