  2. Uninstall Chromium on Windows 10

    Remove traces of Chromuim from Window 10.

    OneDrive starts downloading all the files in current folder when I try to open a file from Chrome/Photoshop/Electron-based apps

    I am using OneDrive (personal) with Placeholders enabled to save space in my storage. After I updated to Windows 10 May 2019 Update, 1903 (update showed up by itself), when I try to pick up any file from my OneDrive in many cases:

    1. When I want to upload files through any Chromuim-based browser;
    2. When I want to open a picture in Photoshop;
    3. When I need to open a file through any Electron-based apps (Skype/VK Messenger/Whatsapp)
    4. When I try to save a file through Snagit/Word/Unigram...
    It happens when I navigate to a folder containing some files. When I stay in the root, nothing is downloading despite there are icons clearly signaling some "synchronizing in progress".

    Some apps doesn't force OneDrive to download files, such as mp3tag from Microsoft Store.

    Info:

    • All the programs mentioned are running latest stable versions;
    • I tried to reset OneDrive. With no luck.

    Websites not loading on windows 10

    I powered up my computer this morning and found a new patch was available. After installing patch KB3150513, I find my system in the same situation. Immediately after installing the patch, neither Firefox, Chromuim, nor Edge could access webpages, throwing
    the message "This site can't be reached." Not only are external sites not accessible but internal sites accessed via IP address also cannot be reached. I have to post this using my Linux system.

    From a command prompt, I can ping/tracert, SSH, TLS/SSL (via email) seem to work but nothing at application layer such as web browsing, Windows Update, streaming services, etc.

    I've performed all the typical (browser & DNS) cache clearing, NIC resetting, rebooting, etc. offered no help. I tried running "sfc /scannow" with no improvement. I have rebooted into safe mode with networking and was able to browse to google.com.

    Safe mode only tells me that one of the networking pieces loaded beyond safe mode is causing application layer network havoc. However, I am out of ideas and am requesting assistance from the community.
