Windows 10: Chronological order of files and folders is off with Microsoft?

    Chronological order of files and folders is off with Microsoft?


    Files used to be in order chronologically. For some reason Microsoft does not place files in order chronologically anymore. Perhaps I am off with chronological order. Microsoft has my files out of order now. See below for current example:01.06.2023 File 306.07.2022 File 107.06.2022 File 2Shouldn't File 1 be below File 2 and File 3? The year is 2023 which is after 2022.When I click Name to sort files in order it used to be:06.07.2022 File 107.06.2022 File 201.06.2023 File 3What is going on?

    Chronological order of files and folders is off with Microsoft?

    My photos won't stay in chronological order.

    I use the windows photos: In file explorer I can organize photos as thumbnails by date, but when I double click on one, they return to chronological order. This problem is new, as I the photos use to stay in the order of the thumbnails.
