    Clean Boot failure


    Following directions for Clean Boot in Win 10 (which is updated). I get through all the steps (select Hide All Microsoft services checked then disable all; Task Mgr under startup and then all services disabled) until the last one where where I click on OK, then it remains on the system config dialog box (startup tab) and goes into system not responding. I have attempted this 3 times all with the same result. Any help would be appreciated!

    Confusing Disk Boot Failure

    Well, Brand new Harddrive the western digital se16 caviar 640. Had a clean install, and while installing drivers and programs after a couple restarts I am receiving disk boot failure. Not the first restart or the second. Each time that it has given me the failure was after installing updates. I've system restored to before installing the updates and it works fine. It's a large list of around 38 or so updates. Granted may be a fluke but anyone heard of this?

    To further isolate the concern, we suggest that you perform a clean boot to disable non-Microsoft services and check if the issue persists. For steps on how to perform a clean boot, click here.
