Last time I installed w10 it downloaded everything for me but it seems there's 2 entries under Device manager that didn't auto update by themselves this time.This something new with the latest version of windows?I also notice optional updates which wasn't there before. PCI DEVICE and SM BUS CONTROLLER Problem

PC:

i5 - 8600k

GTX 1060 3gb

8gb RAM

TUF Gaming H310-PLUS Motherboard

Problem:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

This is what the PCI Device and SM BUS Controller says, ive tried scan for hardware changes fixes and everything, updated mboard bios, updated all the drivers and everything. But they wont work. What should I do? should I uninstall them or do something to
work?

 

Windows 10 PCI and SM Bus Controller drivers.

I recently bought a new desktop, and everything's been running fine, except I noticed this issue:

Upon going into my devices and printers, there's a little troubleshooting triangle next to my desktop's symbol, so I troubleshooted it, told me PCI and SM Bus Controller had no drivers. And I can't seem to find out where/how to download these drivers and
neither can my computer.

Running Windows 10 with a Nvida GeForce GTX 1060 with all the latest drivers on everything else.

Here are the codes I get in device manager under hardware:

PCI: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A324&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_10

SM Bus Controller: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A323&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_10

Another thing to note is that this issue has not affected my performance at all and is just a small problem I'd like to get out of the way.

SM bus controller drivers and PCI drivers unable to install on windows 10

• What is the version of Windows 10 installed on the computer? To check please refer to the link:
  
  Which Windows operating system am I running
  
• Does the device manager show any error code for SM Bus Controller?
  
  
  

This issue might occur if the chipset drivers are not installed properly or the driver package is corrupted or does not have the drivers for the device, reinstalling the chipset drivers might fix the issue.



I would suggest to download and install the Intel chipset utility from
Intel download site along with the SM Bus controller PCI drivers.



Note: Installing or updating chipset drivers may result in an unexpected system behavior, I would recommend to contact the motherboard manufacturer to get the chipset drivers installed/updated.
