Windows 10: Clean install on new build from usb. Blue screen after Win 10 logo.

Hey guys, so I have kicked around and have had little luck finding this issue, but for two mentions, one here and on reddit, where a dvd in the optical drive was causing the issue. This build has no optical drive.

I've played w/ several boot settings (such as making sure storage drive in CSM was set on UEFI only) and tried two diff usb sticks. No matter what, when I boot from the usb made w/ win creation tool (also tried iso from a legit cd copy and rufus), the win 10 logo will flash as it boots up, then a cmd screen will flash, and the screen will go solid blue with a working cursor. No errors....just blank blue screen and mouse cursor.

I'm about to start disconnecting gfx card and the storage drives. Any suggestions aside from that?

Incredibly frustrating as this build has been a nightmare...1st doa mobo, then discovered the cpu fan was doa...now this. Help would be greatly appreciated.

how to fix unexpected store exception error message

I too have this after a clean install of Windows 10. Original build had Win 8. No restore to 8 after 3 clean installs. All drivers from Windows. Keeps giving blue screen with various messages. Says collecting data for error correction and will restart.
sits for hours hijacked by blue screen.

 

Clean Install of Windows 10 64bit stuck @ Blue Logo

I have same problem stuck on Blue logo screen. Clean install.

CPU: Xeon X5482

MB: Intel D5400XS (Latest BIOS)

RAM: 16 GB

SSD: Cruicial 256 GB

Win 10 Enterprise x64. Tried USB and DVD install same result.

 

1) Download and instal: Speecy

2) Please update the computer specifications in the "My Computer" section:

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

3) This is a log collector that we use in the bsod forum. It will collect in addition to any dumps, msinfo32, dxdiag, event logs etc. Please post a zip into the thread for troubleshooting.

I updated the specs w/ more complete information in my profile. I'm not entirely sure how to run speccy since its a new build that only has BIOS/UEFI accessible and am attempting a first/clean install on a blank ssd.

 

For the specs please include: PSU, cooler, case, peripherals (mouse, keyboard, joystick) and anything attached by wireless or wired (printer, headset, xbox, etc.)

My PSU is listed, case seems irrelevant. In any case, I appreciate you trying, but nevermind. I went ahead and unplugged the ssd & hdd. Win 10 has now initialized. Now to try just the destination ssd for the install and go from there.

 

Yeah; so for whatever reason the HDD that I had intended on using as a slave/2nd storage was causing the install to not initialize. It was pulled from another system and was the OS drive, but even disabling the hdd didn't work, I had to completely disconnect it, then once win10 was installed, turn off, reconnect and do disk management.

Beats me. Everything is working fine now.
