Windows 10: Clean install Windows 10

The computer I bought 2nd hand crashed. The HDD could not be rescued. I replaced it with a SSD. I have no OS obviously, and no installation media to boot from. I now only have access to my Chromebook(meh...) I have downloaded the iso file with no problem, but when I copied the 4.7gb file to my brand new 16gb thumb drive only 4.0gb copied then received error message move failed bad directory or corrupt file. I returned to the MS website to find a tool called SlavaSoft for checking if your download is corrupt. It is a free download, but only for Windows OS. I only have access to my Chromebook which does not have a Widows OS. Is there a tool to check my download for possible corruption that will run on Chrome OS?

Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:

• Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
• When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
• Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
• When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
• This time enter your product key
• When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
• Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it

Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.
