Windows 10: "Clear" button not appearing when trying to delete activity history

Hello, I wanted to delete my activity history on my pc windows 10. I went to the privacy settings and when I try to delete my activity history, there's no "clear" button to do so. I have 2 gmail accounts linked to this profile and a school mail account too all three have activity history turned off. I have the "store my activity history on this device" option unchecked. Don't know if it helps, but I also have the cloud search history turned off and the windows search history too. I tried to link a photo to this question but it didn't let me, saying "failed to upload" althought this is not

Do you want to clear the search history in File Explorer or Microsoft Edge? If you want to clear the search history in File Explorer, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer, click on the View tab, and click on
  Options in the ribbon.
• Select Change folder and search options.
• In the General tab, under Privacy, click on the
  Clear button for Clear File Explorer history.

• Type %temp%.
• Hit Enter.
• Press Ctrl A, to highlight everything.
• Hit Delete.

edge clear history

My edge clear history has stopped working. The only way I can clear the history is to right click on web page in the history list then select delete.

Any help with this?
