  1. Clearing up space on drives?

I have two drives and both of them are almost out of space. I keep almost all my programs and everything I use on one of them, so that one is understandably full but I don't know why the other one is or how to clear disk space.

If I go into settings the programs that I can uninstall are few and small, I couldn't clear more than 20 gb (out of 250 gb) if I removed every app that way. I have also used the control panel and used the disk cleanup and cleard up like 5 gb.

What is taking up so much space and how do I get rid of it? Is there another method of cleaning up disk space?

  2. Accidentally Cancelled An Update - Which files can be removed to clear space

    • Right-click start and choose "Run" then type cleanmgr ("cleanup manager") and click OK.
    • If asked to choose a drive, pick your C: drive (or wherever Windows is installed).
    • In the popup, ignore everything and click the "Clean up system files" button. Don't miss this step.
    • Now you can select all the update-related stuff above to clear it out (or clear it all, all of it is safe to remove if you want to free space).

    Clearing the Backup Drive (F)

    Hi,

You can clear up space by deleting the contents of formatting the drive itself. Is it an external drive? If it is and there's no important files saved in the drive that you might need, then you can format the drive to clear up space. To do so, follow the
    steps below:

    • Plug your hard drive into the computer.
    • Type File Explorer on the search bar and hit Enter.
    • Open File Explorer and click This PC from the left panel.
    • Click on the drive's name, then under Drive Tools, select Manage
tab on the upper part of the window.
    • Click Format. A new prompt will appear.
    • Under File system, select FAT32 (Default).
    • Put a check on Quick Format option then click
      Start.
    • Let the process to be finished then click OK when prompted.

We're just a post away if you need further help.
