    Hi Microsoft Support,I recently tried disabling the Closed Loop Frequency Controller CLFC by modifying the registry, but it didn’t go well—I ended up with a BSOD. Thankfully, I was able to recover by deleting the "RmCLFCDisable" key, but I noticed that Windows checks for this value during boot.I reached out to NVIDIA about this, and they told me to refer to Microsoft for further guidance. So, I was hoping you could help me understand:What exactly does Windows do with the "RmCLFCDisable" key during boot?Is there a safe, official way to disable CLFC?If things go wrong, what’s the best way to r

    This issue may have occurred after one of the following situations:

    • You upgrade the Windows operating system.
    • You install or uninstall CD or DVD recording programs.
    • You uninstall Microsoft Digital Image.
