Windows 10: Clicking a link in the Phone Link app takes me nowhere

I cannot open any link I receive from any sender in the Phone Link app anymore.I used to simply click the link and my browser would pull up the webpage, just as clicking a link should and does work elsewhere in Windows 11 for me, without any issue.Currently the links appear in my messages, and when I hover over one before clicking, it highlights per usual. However upon clicking, absolutely nothing happens. I can't even highlight the link to copy and paste it into my browser.I have checked to make sure the Phone link app is up to date on my computer as well as my phone. Windows is also up to da

Your Phone App - Link to Windows not working

Has anyone found the secret to getting the Your Phone - Link to Windows App working correctly?
Looking at the number of posts in other forums saying they have problems there is clearly a major issue with this App. It's a pity because it used to work quite well before recent Windows updates.
Basically my phone (Samsung A515) will connect to Your Phone on my PC and I can see the headers of Notifications on my PC. If I try to read Messages or access Photos or open Desktop Apps it says I need permissions and asks me to click on a link to send a permission request to my phone. It never arrives. I don't see any permission request. Also it doesn't say what permissions are missing nor how to enable them.
The response from MS is always to ensure that your phone and PC Apps are at the latest version (they are). I suspect there is a major bug in this App, yet others seem to suggest that it does work. Hopelessly confused.

Window Phone App Links Not Working

Has anyone else come across or got any suggestions for why the links within the Windows Phone App (Metro not Desktop) do not work?

Connect my phone to my Windows 8.1 computer & the app opens correctly, showing & synching all my pictures under the 'On your phone' heading. These I can click on & view but not the apps listed in the other 2 sections - 'In the Store' & 'On the web'. Holding
the mouse over these icons makes them change to slide up & show the app name but clicking on them or the browse/do more links below ha no effect.

Not the end of the world but annoying nonetheless. Have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app but no change. Any suggestions?

 

"All apps" Button not working - Where are links stored?


At some point my "All apps" button has stopped working. Clicking on it causes the apps list to flash very very briefly then dumps me back to home screen. Everything else seems to work OK.
Anyone know where the links in that list of apps is stored? I'm thinking one of the links is broken causing the whole list to shut down, and if I remove links from the list one by one I can find it. That's the only thing I can think to try.
Unfortunately no restore points exist and Repair tools like Startup Repair Etc. does not help.
Any other Ideas / Suggestions would also be greatly appreciated.
