Windows 10: Clicking sound on my computer windows 10 volume off still hear the sound how to get rid...

Tried the suggestions on the web by clicking speaker getting sound box up ect doesnt stop the clicking sounds . almost like someone is tapping the plastic on the computer . if i do nothing it still clicks make the sound really annoying . whats the deal computer work great ,window 10 updated .volume down all the way still hear the clicking sound so must be something else causing it . whats the answer people? thanks

Can't Hear "Ding" Sound When Changing Volume

I cant think why that should have happened but check the volume of system sounds as a first step.

right click on the speaker icon in taskbar and select Open volume mixer

in the volume mixer check the volume of system sounds and make sure that it is not muted (look at the icon below the volume slider).

if its not that, come back to us and i will try something else, do you hear other system sounds?

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps:

  Go to Control Panel Items

  Click on Sound.

  Click on Sounds Tab.

  Click on Desktop Mail Notification.

  Click TEST.

  Click OK.
  

And check if you are able to hear the email notification sound.

Windows 10 sound issue: sound volume randomly increases!

Thank you for writing us back.

I would suggest you to go through the below steps:

Steps: Try to uninstall the driver:

a. Press Windows key+X.

b. Click on Device Manager.

c. From the list, expand the sound driver.

d. Right click on the sound driver and click on uninstall and do not check the box and click on ok.

e. Reboot the computer, it will automatically take the sound driver and then again go to sound driver using above steps and right click on it and select update to update the driver and again reboot the computer and check if it helps.
