  1. Clickonce and .NET 9

Hi, After updating our application to use .NET 9 previously .NET framework 4.8 the clickonce application manifest creation shows error like this: "Internal error, please try again. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Cmd.exe exited with code '2'." Is there some known issues with clickonce deployment and .NET 9?

    :)

  2. After updating Clickonce today, it won't run.

We distribute our product using ClickOnce, based on .NET Framework 4.0.

I conducted an update for my product today, but many users encountered issues where it wouldn't launch after the update.

After trying various methods, I found that following the steps outlined in this article (ClickOnce applications may not launch from the built-in Administrator account on Windows 10 - Microsoft Support) resolved the problem.

However, there are too many affected users to handle manually.

Is there a specific reason why this issue suddenly occurred? Could it be due to a Windows update or any changes related to ClickOnce? I'm also inquiring about other possible solutions."

  4. Clickonce and .NET 9

    Microsoft .NET Framework, Unhandled exception

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

    Try the following steps:

    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
    • Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
    • Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer
    • Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer.
    Regards,
