Clipboard exchange doen't work on Windows 11 Hyper-V

Suggested PShell command has been successfully done. I even have invoked it 2 times: when Hyper-V manager open (running) and close, then launched it again. Unfortunately, clipboard continues not working (with my SLES15 VM)...

I am disappointed but actually not surprised because MS has this long history of releasing applications which works only by the half. Typical.

Anyway, moving on... So I decided to quit Hyper-V and try VMWare which always served me strongly on Windows 7. Long history short in less than a half hour I got it working. For whose decide to try the same here it goes the recipe:

1) First things first disable the Windows Hyper-V feature

2) Install VMWare Workstation 15 or superior

3) When you run it for the first time you may be granted with a notification in your bottom right saying 'VMware cannot run on Windows 10'. No panic. Watch the video that shows how to fix it at

4) After to follow the simple steps of the video you should be able to start VMWare now. However when you try to create a new VM or even to open an existing VM you will be granted AGAIN with another notification and this time it will say 'VMWare workstation and device/credential guard are not compatible'. No panic. Watch the video that shows how to fix it at

5) Enjoy! And yeah, the clipboard works back and forth like a charm for any contents you need (not only stupid text).

PS: My Windows version is 1909 so for newer versions it may not work.

 

Clipboard between host and Hyper-V guest not working

There is a clipboard option in the vm connection window menu. This is for text-only.



The issue I have with this is that the mentioned shortcuts don't work, clicking the UI option does work.
You can input copied text in the VM.
Funny that the output, say you want something from the VM on your host, that you get is a screenshot, not text.
For security reasons maybe...
