Windows 10: Clipboard doesn't work between applications when desktop is locked

Hello! I've seen a couple similar questions that haven't been answered yet, so I figured I'd give it a try myself.


The short version is, I do Excel macros at work that interact with SAP, and I schedule them to run unattended overnight, so, the desktop is locked. Under Windows 7, everything worked fine. Tried to migrate to a newer Windows 10 PC, and found that anytime I copy data in Excel and SAP needs to read the data, it fails. No error message, just no data gets pasted.


Further testing showed it's not specific to SAP, as I made a real simple macro to test it. I can just put some data in Notepad, manually CTRL-C copy it, and then the macro will just paste whatever is on the clipboard into a cell 10 seconds from now. It works fine when the desktop is unlocked, but fails consistently when I use those 10 seconds to lock my desktop. It fails with "1004 Paste method of Worksheet class failed", but if I click debug and just resume running, it will succeed now that the desktop is unlock. Also, Excel has no problems copying from and to its own workbook whether the desktop is locked or not. I've only seen it happen when the clipboard is being used across multiple applications.


Any ideas on how to get it working again?

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Double Tap doesn`t work on Lumia 620

Hello,

Double Tap to wake doesn`t work at my Lumia 620. I have all on in settings but still doesn`t work. I`m pretty sure that in update AMBER or BLACK this function works properly. But after DENIM update doesn`t. Maybe you are planning some update for this future
?

ctrl+v not working

The clipboard is working fine then. Sometimes applications may lock the clipboard and block other apps from copying data... but that's not the case here.

See if it works if you use the On-Screen Keyboard to test. If it works there, then try changing your keyboard. If CTRL V doesn;t work even when using On-Screen keyboard, then do a clean boot to test, or perhaps from Safe mode.
