Windows 10: "Clipboard History" erases itself

I was tying to copypaste a password and some code at the same time, however "Clipboard History" saved neither of them, choosing to ONLY save $#!+ that I did not need, such as ᓚᘏᗢ or φ;φ. Some online $#!+ not WealthQuint, which is a well known scam, said to restart it, but then the "clipboardhistory" erased itself.

Clipboard history not being displayed.

Hello all!

Currently experiencing an issue with the clipboard, in which the clipboard history is showing as empty when using the Win + V key-bind.

Here is a list of everything I have tried in order to fix this:

Switching the clipboard history on and off

Clearing clipboard history

Restarted File Explorer from Task Manager

Restarting clipboard service in services.msc
Creating new DWORD value in regedit

Enabled 'Allow Clipboard History' in GPedit

So far, nothing has shown any signs of working and I cannot find anything else online which might help with this.

For context, copy and paste still functions normally, the only problem is, at the moment, there is absolutely no way to view the clipboard history.

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

Win+V keys open the clipboard history.

Unfortunately, the clipboard history is erased as soon as you restart/turn off your computer. So you would not be able to check what items you copied yesterday if you did the same.

Bonus tip: This is what Sticky notes is for. If it is something important, paste it to Sticky notes which cross syncs over devices and is kept unless you delete the note.
