Windows 10: Clipboard is broken/not functional in UWP apps

For about a year now, my clipboard has been broken for UWP apps regular apps work fine. They used to work, I don't remember what changes I might have made to my system around the time it stopped working. Possibly a windows update.In most UWP apps, it simply doesn't work. The clipboard doesn't get updated on attempting to copy previous copies from non-UWP apps can still be pasted in other non UWP-apps, and nothing gets inserted on trying to paste.There are sometimes odd behaviors in other apps, like calculator will crash if I hit CTRL+C.Here's the entries from Event Viewer for calculator cr

Clipboard content gets deleted after the UWP app from which it was copied is closed.

Whenever you copy some text from any UWP app, it can be pasted anywhere until the app is closed. So, essentially, after the app is closed, the copied content is deleted from the clipboard.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Copy some text from any UWP app, such as OneNote.

2. Close the app.

3. Try pasting the text into Notepad or anywhere else.



You'd observe that you can't paste anything, because the clipboard content is persistent only until the UWP app stays open. The above restriction, however, doesn't apply to classic Windows apps.

New Clipboard app will not open / launch

I have installed a new app from the Store.It is

ClipBoard Fast Copy Paste and Share Pro

I have not been able open / run / launch it. I have a Desktop shortcut icon, a Taskbar icon, and a Tile in the Start Menu and have repeatedly clicked each one, selecting both Open and run as Administrator without success. As I cannot oen it I have no access to whatever help info might be there or the email address of the Developer. With regard to the latter, the app listing in the Store does not have the usual info there. I have drawn a blank from an online search, the app is listed but only takes you to the relevant Store page. Any suggestions?

This might be possible if there is an option from the app to copy the file path of each clipboards. As per our research, the clipboard manager lets you copy texts but not images. We suggest checking the functionalities of the clipboard manager and contacting
the app developer directly to have better assistance on how copy the clipboards.
