Discus and support Clipsvc doubt in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I want to turn of clipsvc.     Clipsvc doubt


    I want to turn of clipsvc. I don't want to install anything from Microsoft store as it needs pin but my laptop do not support hello, So if I turn it off, will any virus enter, orlike will any 3rd party thingy get access to my pc? Also, I install applications from the browser, so will it stop them also??

    How to Start the ClipSVC service?

    Microsoft Store was not opening and on looking in service i found out that ClipSVC service is stopped. I tried to start it but it is not starting at all. Can anyone please tell me how to start the ClipSVC service.

    ClipSVC - what it really is

    This post is intended for curious users who notice something like ClipSVC in their monitoring or analysis of activity on their Windows 10 computer. Being one such person my internet searches yielded a lot of just wrong information -- at least in so far
    as it relates to Windows 10.

    I can't find it documented directly by Microsoft but by noting that ClipSVC is actually a path element leading to a file tokens.dat, I have been able to find useful information: it's part of the licensing system and has nothing to do with the clipboard (which
    is what many misleading websites report).

    So nothing is being "clipped" and there are no privacy or other concerns I can identify associated with the file.

    Recovery Drive Doubt

    I created a recovery drive usb pendrive when i bought my laptop. That time it was Win 10 Home SL. Now i upgraded it to Win 10 Pro and activated it using "illegal software". So these are the doubts which i have :

    1. Can the Recovery Drive reverts Pro to Home? (Recovery Drive was created during Win 10 Home SL. So if i boot Recovery Drive it should revert back to Home. These are my thoughts)
    2. Will the digital license work after downgrading ?
    3. Will there be any backlash ?
    P.S. After upgrading it to Pro, there was a warning saying "digital license valid for Home SL, and not for Pro". I used an "illegal software" to activate it. Also i am a newbie so please explain it step by step.
