Windows 10: Clone all files from HDD to a SSD.

Hi,Recently my HDD is becoming very slow therefore I have decided to upgrade to a SSD its larger in capacity I was wondering if I transfer all the files from my HDD to the new SSD? Do I need any external soft where or can I copy the whole drive and paste into the new SSD they will both be connected in the system I have seen people using software called Acronis and using a USB to Sata cable to transfer the data, I assume I don't need this? Clone HDD to a SSD

I'm planing to upgrade my new laptop HDD to SSD while using my HDD as a storage media on my laptop. My laptop came with windows 10 Home OEM. If I cloned the HDD will the windows be activated after I
cloned or will it be deactivated?? And what happend to other activated softwares like MS Office and Antivirus Softwares???

The only real way to do this successfully is clone everything onto the SSD, then boot from that SSD and move your user folders (Documents . . .etc to the HDD

Alternatively, move all your documents to another folder on that HDD, then omit that from the cloning operation, you can then clone the drive, and later link back into those documents in that folder . . .

If you clone HDD to SSD and replace old HDD with that new SSD in same laptop it will remain activated..
