    Cloning to SSD

Well, after looking at the screen shots again, I have to change one of my answers too. It looks like the problem was broken communication with the SSD, not the source drive. So to Bogart99, check your connection to the SSD before you attempt the restore again. Are you using a USB to SATA Adapter? If so, I would only plug it into a USB 2.0 port (black USB) and not a USB 3 port (blue USB).

    Right hello yet again.
I tried using the USB 2.0 port and just dragging partion 1 to 3 Failed I get this screen

I then tried restoring just partition 1 appears to work but bit bemused why partion does not show up on disk

If I try to restore either partitions 2 or 3 with or without partion 1 I get this

If I then click ok says restore was ok but still no partions showing on disk.

Think I am nearer but still miles away!

Thought I had sorted it managed to get all 4 partitions restored to the SSD but somehow had mixed up the order what should have been the 2nd partition was actually the 3rd and vv. Anyway would not boot same old no OS. Tried to see if possible to just swap partition positions around but failed so I thought okay done it once will do it fresh again.
Started from the beginning. All okay until trying to restore.

    Cloning to SSD

Been exceptionally busy recently and will be moving house soon so will get my PC back, currently in storage, and will install in that so laptop will then go up for sale. I was rather a saga to say the least.
