Windows 10: Cloning Windows 10 system with LTSC Licence

Hi,


I have purchased 20 computers loaded with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809, I have set up the first machine with the settings, files, programs and data just how we need it, this took over an hour or so to setup. All 20 machine need to setup exactly the same so can I just load an image of the first machine onto the other 19 without effecting the licence, activation or validity of the machines?

LTSB no longer exists, it was replaced by LTSC (Long Term Service Channel)

The LTSC version is aimed at the corporate market that need a stable environment and it is not available to the general public, the Enterprise version of Windows is a volume licence, not a single user licence

Do window 10 offer a clone image feature for backup system?

I am sorry to tell you that there is no built-in clone feature in Windows 10. If you just create a system image backup, you can follow the steps below to create a system image in Windows 10.

Step 1. Open Control Panel, go to System and Security > File History, then click System Image Backup at the lower-left corner. Or you can directly type backup and restore in the search box and select it from the search result list.

Step 2. Connect the USB drive to your computer and select it as the destination path, then click Next.

Step 3. Confirm your backup settings and click Start Backup.

However, if you want to clone your system directly, you can choose a third-party software like AOMEI Backupper. This is a professional clone software that allows you to

clone system to different places such as external hard drive, USB drive or Network, etc. without booting problems. With it, you also can clone the entire disk to HDD or SSD.

 

Lincensing Windows 10 VM on top of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC

Hi,

I'm building an environment based on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC.

On top of this host environment I would like to activate Hyper-V role and have a Windows 10 VM.

Does Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC provide an additional Windows 10 licence for a VM ?

If not, which kind of licences are available/required ?
