Windows 10: Close Microsoft account immediately

I opened a new microsoft account on accident. I just wanted another outlook email address associated with my own account.Now the name is taken, and it takes at least 30 days before the other account is closed. I don't want to wait 30 days. How do I delete the account immediately?

I noticed my Hotmail account is trying to be hacked into numerous times throughout the day. almost every other hour or so. I know this because my Authenticator app tells me who is trying to access my account.

A few questions, if I close my account will someone be able to reuse my old Hotmail address? Also, does it close immediately? I have read somewhere that Microsoft does not close account immediately. If that's the case and I choose to close my Hotmail email, will my Authenticator app still work between the time I choose to close account and Microsoft officially closing/deleting email? I just don't want someone hacking into my account between the time I close account and Microsoft officially closing the account on their end.

windows edge opens then closes immediately

Edge works fine in my account with administrative privilege but on my account without the administrative privilege it closes immediately even after applying the fix listed in the answer. My computer is brand new.

2. Are you using Microsoft or local account to login to Windows?
   
3. If Microsoft account, may I know which Microsoft account are you using to login to Windows
   

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to unlink your Microsoft business account from Gmail Microsoft account (If Microsoft Business account is linked to Gmail account).

1. Log on to primary
   Microsoft account (Gmail).
   
2. Go to Your Info > Contact Info.
   
3. Click on Manage email address.
   
4. Then try removing secondary account.
