  1. Closing W11 laptop lid =="Do Nothing" causes redisplay with smaller font and width on...

This is a new HP Envy 2in1 15-fe0097nr Windows 11 laptop. I would like to use it with the laptop lid closed so it fits under an external monitor on my desk. Laptop is connected to an ASUS PA278CV , resolution 2560 x 1440 external monitor, with either a 10 Gb/s USB-C cable or an HDMI cable. The W11 Display setting are set for "Duplicate" display, and I have tried both the 2560x1440 and the 1920x1080 resolution settings. The symptoms described here occur with either resolution setting. The symptoms described also occur with either the USB-C cable

    :)

Laptop restarts after closing the lid

    Hi,

It appears that your laptop hibernates when you close its lid. This feature terminates running processes on your machine since it allows the system to use very little power. If
Do nothing is already selected for Choose what closing the lid does
in Power Options, let's try to make hibernation unavailable. Follow these steps:

    • Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
    • Select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Click Yes if you get a prompt window.
    • Type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter.
See if this will prevent the laptop from hibernating when you close the lid.

Let us know how it turns out.

  3. Windows 10 Title Font size is huge after waking my laptop from sleep

For the past weeks I have had a problem with the Title bar font size being huge whenever I awaken my laptop from sleep.

    The steps to reproduce are:

    1. Close the lid of my laptop to put my laptop to sleep. Applications are still up when I close the lid.
    2. Open the lid of my laptop (usually the next morning). The font size of the window title bar of open applications and anything I open is huge.
I have checked the registry entries that contain the title bar font size. None of these entries have changed.

If I close all applications a re-start my laptop, the title bar font size is back to normal.

However, the problem persists. When I close the laptop screen to put the laptop to sleep and open the lid to awaken the laptop, window title bar fonts are huge.
