Windows 10: Cluster disk is not showing any volume in the disk

Hi,I have a problem with failovercluster. I am using Dell VRTX and recently 2 hard drives failed which was used for a VM. I have replaced th 2 hard drives and the servers have access to the new Virtual disk created in VRTX. However i can see the disk but unable to add disk to the clustered shared volume as it is not showing any volume. Please help.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for providing the detail that was requested previously. Since the disk management screen that you saw is showing greyed out options, we suggest that you follow the steps below to change the partition type of your internal drive:

• Open Disk Management then right click the partition on the disk you want to covert and select Delete Volume.
• Once you complete the process you will see the whole disk shown as two separate unallocated spaces. Right-click the disk and select Convert to GPT disk.

After the conversion, you will be able to use the whole disk and then you can create new separate partitions.

Quorum Disk in windows failover cluster

Hi All

i am trying to add qorum disk in windows failover cluster but i am not able to add any disk as quorum . need help for the same. please share if there is any document which shows how the quorum disk can be added to server..

this i am trying on windows server 2012 R2 on VM platform.

 

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.
