Windows 10: cmd.exe not running

Discus and support cmd.exe not running in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; a while ago i tried to do that thing where you renamed cmd.exe to utilman.exe to kinda jailbreak your pc, and long story short i cant use cmd.exe...     cmd.exe not running


    a while ago i tried to do that thing where you renamed cmd.exe to utilman.exe to kinda jailbreak your pc, and long story short i cant use cmd.exe anymore or utilman.exe for that matter i just need to find a way to rename utilman back to cmd and vice versa

    To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

    I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

    • Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
    • Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
    • Click on Apply and OK.

    cannot run an exe file in CMD administrator

    "MYNAME" is your username in users

    Open File Explorer go to the directory where your program is .
    Rightclick on the exe file and choose Run as Administrator.
