Windows 10: cnrtl key only works after a long press

Hi all,My cntrl key both of them only "wakes up" once I press it for a long time 10-15 seconds.If I don't, every time I wake my computer from sleep, hibernate or being shut down, the cntrl keys don't react.I tried removing the driver and resetting my computer. I also used osk to make sure, and it shows me that after a long press the computer starts to treat pressing cntrl as normal, but it keeps losing the key every time I don't use it for a few minutes, and when it does it also doesn't react on osk.I'm using an Ideapad S145 lenovo laptop.

Does it stop right at the Toshiba logo and sit there? Will it sit forever til you press a key, or will it eventually work after so long?

 

Long press problem

Hello, here asking help again..

I bought a new keyboard yesterday and was gonna test on a computer and then I tried games on it but suddenly when i long press W (the forward movement key) it just stops for a moment . Like Long pressing a key makes it lag. I opened up notepad and tested
the keyboard out.

It stops the long press for a moment and continues repeatedly.

I tried an old keyboard and it works very fine.

I tried connecting the new keyboard to my laptop and surprisingly, there's no problem about it.

Long press works, Gaming works..

Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:
