Windows 10. I can't save an excel sheet

So I've created a small, very simple excel spreadsheet. Click Save As. It produces a list of destinations including Documents, Desktop etc. I click on documents and get precisely nothing. No error message. No co-operation. Any suggestions?

Issue with xlt files after upgrade to Windows 10

We have a custom reporting engine built that uses Excel templates (.xlt) populated with data from SQL and formatted using various .NET formatting engines we built. Once I upgraded to Windows 10, any template I attempt to create/update comes back from
our report engine in protected view (says there's a problem with the file, but doesn't have any specifics). I confirmed it was most likely due to the upgrade once one of my co-workers also upgraded and experienced the same thing (we're the only 2 on Windows
10 here). I am currently having another co-worker on Windows 8 or below open the template and re-save in order to correct for this. I've tried both Excel 2010 and 2013 installs from our Office 365 subscription with the same results. Any idea's?
