Windows 10: Code 39 Driver Error on keyboard. Keyboard works in BIOS, other keyboards do not work.

Hi,My keyboard Corsair K55 recently stopped working. I've tried a myriad of things I've found on the internet and nothing has worked. Reset the keyboard tried a different keyboard, tried to update drivers, updated firmware with iCUE. uninstalled drivers. tried different usb ports. windows update. ran malwarebytes. I've even recovered the pc while keeping personal files. even ran some things in command prompt and registry editor and still nothing. The keyboard works in BIOS and advanced startup. Does not work in safe mode. In Device Manager under properties it says:"Windows cannot load the de

Built in keyboard not working

I recently purchased an ASUS ROG GL553VD Notebook Computer and a few weeks ago the keyboard stopped working. After a few restarts it worked again, but today the problem came back, and was not fixed by any amount of restarting. Several people on past posts said to reinstall they Keyboard driver, but there was no Keyboard section in the Device Manager. I am currently resetting the laptop to factory settings to see if that fixes the issue. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be glad to assist you today. I don't want to assume anything, but is your mouse working? If it is, you can try to fix the problem in Device Manager. Just follow these steps using your mouse/touchpad:

• Right-click on the Start menu to bring up the Power User Menu, and click
  Control Panel.
• Click on the
  Hardware and Sound link.
• Click on
  Device Manager under the Devices and Printers group at the top of the screen.
  
• In the Device Manager window that pops up, expand
  Keyboards. There you should find your keyboard listed . Right click on your keyboard and select Update Driver Software... to check and see you have the latest driver for the keyboard to work.

If these steps don't fix your problem, a temporary fix would be to turn on the included On-Screen Keyboard. To do this, follow these steps:

• Click on
  Start, Settings, Ease of Access, then Keyboard
• Click to turn on the
  On Screen Keyboard.

Either of these two options should get you back to typing again in no time! If you need any other help, let me know!

Keyboard not working...

well damn. i missed that somehow.

All i can suggest is that if the keys keep failing, wiggle the cord, try another port... and get another keyboard. return it, RMA it, sell it, whatever. Grab a logitech or microsoft keyboard, and suffer no more!
