Windows 10: Code 43 Grafikkarte nach Windows-Update

Hallo zusammen,ich habe eine etwas ältere Nvidia M4000 auf einem B660 Mainboard mit i5-12400.Das hat bis vor ein paar Tagen alles problemlos funktioniert. Nun bekomme ich jedoch im Geräte-Manager für die GraKa einen Code 43 angezeigt und auch das Nvidia Control Panel lässt sich nicht mehr öffnen automatischer Start ist aktiviert. Auch der RTX Desktop Manager gibt lediglich eine Fehlermeldung aus - "Systemanforderungen für die Anwendung:- NVIDIA RTX / Quadro GPU- Nvidia display driver- Windows 10 and above"All diese Kriterien werden logischerweise erfüllt. Advice from Microsoft: Graphics device driver error code 43

Windows stopped your device because it reported problems. To fix it, try the following:

Select the Start button, then in the search box next to Start, type device manager and select Device Manager from the list of results.

Find the problematic device in the list (it will often have a yellow exclamation point icon next to it).

Press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device, and select Properties. In Properties, select the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver, then follow the steps. If the button is unavailable, that means there's no driver to roll back to.

Select Uninstall device and then select Uninstall.

At the top of the list of devices in Device Manager, press and hold (or right-click) the name of your PC, then select Scan for hardware changes. This reinstalls the device driver.

To see if this fixed the problem, press and hold (or right-click) the name of the device again and select Properties. On the General tab, under Device status, you should see This device is working properly. If you don’t see this message, refer to the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer.

Windows 10 / Nvidia 1030 - Code 43

After a Windows (Win 10 Home) update yesterday afternoon my son's PC reported the problem shown in the image below.

The result of this means he cannot play the very popular "Fortnite" game which reports this error.

Assuming the problem is caused by either the Windows Update or a driver update have done the following;

Re-installed the latest Nvidia Driver. This didn't fix the problem.

Installed the previous set of Nvida Drivers. This didn't fix the problem.

Via the Control Panel / Device Manager I disabled and enabled the device. This didn't fix the problem.

Via the Control Panel / Device Manager I used the "update driver" feature. This didn't fix the problem.

I did a system restore to the day before. This did not complete with Windows reporting the Anti Virus software may have prevented the process. Default Windows Defender is the AV.

I disabled the AV and tried system restore again. This didn't fix the problem.

In all other areas the system is functioning fine although my son said he had low FPS on Rainbow Six Siege which he tried to play when Fortnite wouldn't launch.

The PC is just over a week old so I am doubtful of any hardware issues with no other symptoms or errors showing.

So...any ideas or suggestions for next steps please?
