    Regarding Windows device driver development, which Windows 10 Certificate Store should my company's 'DigiCert Trusted G4 Code RSA4096 SHA384 CA1' be visible in? Using a hardware USB tokenMy DigiCert code signing certificate is visible in my Personal Certificates store if my USB token in installed while using Certificate Manager.I am using Visual Studio 2015 to build and sign Windows 10 device drivers.If I start VS2015 and select Driver Test Signing, the DigiCert certificate is visible in my Driver Store in the VS2015 selection box and I can use it to sign drivers.If I start VS

    Device Driver Signing on Windows 10

    It's due to the fact the driver was sigend with a SHA1 code signing certicate. As of July 2019 Windows does not trust SHA1 code signing certificates.

    Even if Windows still trusted SHA1 certificates out of the box, a certificate signed in 2016, would not be explictly trusted due to expiration of said certificate.

    You can either add the certificate to your trusted certificate store or disable driver signature enforcement all together. I do not suggest you disable the enforcement of signed drivers.

    LMAO. A driver signing is basically a unique signature (serial-like) that is incorporated into that driver for that device.
