Windows 10: Color Distortion During Gaming

Recently I played a few unity games in fullscreen which somehow had swapped their colorsblue became yellow, etc., and now whenever I launch a fullscreen game, the colors become distorted like in the unity game.


I also used a game called DiRT Rally and manage to invert the effects: All windowed applications and the desktop had the color inverted, or distorted in other words. It was a one way trip, and it was done by it's accept changes system in the game, which will reset the colors to usual if I turn off and turn on fullscreen on it.


This bug/glitch was never found until those unity games were installed, and my antivirus is not detecting anything. I also did fully update my drivers and tried restarting the computer several times. Restarting the computer also reverts the fullscreen applications to have the color distortion. I would also like to state I got the games from a trustworthy source, unlike other areas. Still, I would like to have this glitch/bug removed. It does nothing else except annoy me with the color changes.

Color Saturation changes while playing games

I understand that you are facing issues with Color saturation on the computer, we will look into this for you. However, in order to get to the root cause of the issue, please reply with the following details:

• Does this issue occur only while playing games?
  
• Have you downloaded the games from Microsoft Store?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

You can refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



Method 1: Updating drivers



I suggest you to try updating the display drivers and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Display adapters.
   
3. Right click on the display driver and select
   Update Drivers.
   
4. Restart the computer if prompted.

Method 2: Calibrating Display color Profiles



You can try calibrating the Display Color Profiles as per your requirement and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Type Color Management in the search bar on the
   Taskbar and open it.
   
2. Click on Advanced Tab.
   
3. Click on Calibrate Display, and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the display.
   
4. If you want to change the Default system profile, and then click on
   Change system defaults, click on the profile that you want to make default and click on
   Set as default to make the profile as the default profile.

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.
