Windows 10: Color error

Hi all,


I updated Windows 10 about a week or two ago, and have noticed that some colors in certain windows have been inverted. The outer edges of some windows that I open, for example, when I'm in Word and open an image, appear blue. I've attached a screenshot of my desktop while doing just that. You'll notice Word is still good, because the top bar is normally blue, but the other window is off: it's all black, and the outer edge is blue. I've also noticed that if I try to highlight something, like as if I'm going to copy and paste one word, it automatically selects everything (for example, if i'm reading an article and want to highlight one quote, it'll automatically highlight everything on that page). Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? Could it be a minor bug, an update issue? Thanks!

color change, the color blue got lighter

The issue you are facing with Color change, I would like to ask few queries.

• Have you made any changes to the system prior to the issue?
• Since when are you facing this?

You can manually set the different color for start, taskbar, action center and title bar background.

To do so, follow the steps below:

• Click on Start and select Settings.
• From left pane click on Color.
• Choose a color which ever is suited for you.

Referring to the second screen shot, it seems like the operating system you are using is not fully activated. This type of issue occurs only if the OS is not activated. I suggest you to refer the below Microsoft article and check how to resolve the common
activation errors.

Note: Steps also works on Windows 10.

Window background color - I don't appear to be able to do this on windows 10 as the change color scheme bit isn't there.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change color scheme for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

• Right click on “Desktop screen”.
• Then click on “Personalize”.
• Click on “Colors”.
• And change the color accordingly.

Cortana's Font Color (Blue) is impossible to read when she responds to me

I understand that you are trying to change the font color for Cortana on your PC, I suggest you to follow the step mentioned below:

Steps:

1. Type ‘Color settings’ in the Windows search bar.
   
2. Tap on the ‘Color’ option.
   
3. Uncheck ‘Automatically pick an accent color from my background’.
   
4. You can select the preferred color, under
   Windows colors.
   
5. You can click on Cortana and you will be able to notice the color that was selected.
