Windows 10: Color pages (eg maps) will not print in grayscale using Edge or Chrome in Windows 10

I like to print everything in grayscale and not use a color cartridge.


I can do this using Firefox, but the "black and white" print options in Edge and in Chrome delete everything that was in color -- grayscale does not work.


I do not like Firefox for any other purposes, but do I have to reinstall it and use it anyway if I want to print in grayscale?


Is there a way to make Chrome and/or Edge print in grayscale and not just black-white?


I use Windows 10 and have a HP deskjet F380 printer that is still working fine for everything else.

IF this is your printer ( I do not have your make/model of printer ), its on-line user manual says:

10 Select a Color option:

• To print a color document or photo, select the Color setting.
• To print text and graphics in black or shades of gray, select the Black/Grayscale setting.

I have went to my control panel and right clicked on my printer and went to printer preferences and then to advanced and there is no option to change to grayscale from color. I also went to printer properties and went through every tab and advanced button
and still no options to change to grayscale. I also downloaded the Epson print application and it will not let me print what I need to and I do not see an option to use the app to print certain items for work from web or if I save what I need printed I can
not find it when I search for the saved document in my files to print.



I know that changing to grayscale it still uses color ink but I want to minimize the use of the colored ink. how else can I get my computer (Lenovo ideapad 100s) to print in grayscale to my printer (Epson wf-3620)?

I have the HP Officejet 4652 and was unable to switch back to color printing. Color/grayscale was not on the menu bar. The only way I could fix it was to uninstall and reinstall the printer. After searching online and getting no answers, I use that as my default
fixing wireless printing issues. Once I thought of it, it was a quick resolution.
