Windows 10: Color profile set for secondary monitor does not load by default if monitor is turned on...

I have a secondary monitor that I use a calibrated display profile for so the colors are in line with my primary monitor.The profile only loads by itself if the monitor is turned on before I start my PC, not after Windows has already loaded. If I turn it on after, I usually have to open Windows Color Management, pick the device, and then select the one profile and click "set as default profile" to load it manually.Is there any way to make it load automatically on monitor start?

As per your query, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

First connect the secondary monitor and then run the color calibration tool. Then with the secondary monitor connected, follow these steps:

a) Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

b) Change the view by option on the right top to large icons.

c) Click on Color Management.

d) Against device, select the secondary monitor and check, "use my settings for this device".

e) In the bottom, highlight a profile and select "set as default profile".

Save changes and check if the issue persists. Let us know the results for further assistance.

 

Dual monitors, 2 display icm profiles, win 10 now only loads the profile for monitor #2 into both displays

Win 10 64 byte version 1803 (OS build 17134.48).

I do color critical work in Photoshop. I calibrate both monitors with a colorimeter. After the 1803 update a few days ago Win 10 now loads the same profile (the profile for monitor 2.....the secondary profile) into BOTH displays. When I open Color Management
monitor #1 show the default profile correctly...same for monitor #2. Win 10 apparently chooses to ignore the default setting for monitor #1.

I can easily do a work around by simply opening Color Management, select display 1, highlight the default profile (the correct one), and press the "set as Default Profile" button. The correct profile then loads and all is well again until the next computer
restart.

I have to assume the issue is a coding error (this is not the first time I have experienced profile issues after a win 10 update).

 

Setting Up A Older Secondary Monitor

ok decided to reopen in the hopes someone might have a solution for a new issues i noticed. when i do a restart the secondary monitor takes over, and not until windows is about to go to the desktop does the secondary monitor turn off and the primary display turn on. i would think there is some way to make the default monitor stay on during a reboot. any suggestion would be great. thanks
