Windows 10: Color saturation changes watching videos but only one one monitor

The problem is dependably re-creatable. I have reinstalled video drivers, walked back to under drivers unplugged monitors, rotated RAM dunno why, but tried anyway, and played with settings in the NVIDA control panel. Still happening. The problem only happens on Chrome, not on Edge or other browsers that I've testedIf I open a youtube video in Chrome o

I understand that color saturation changes intermittently while watching videos. I am glad to offer you help on this issue.

I could recommend graphics driver updates. After you finish the steps, please check under an Intel Graphics control panel or an NVIDIA control

panel for graphics enhancement options for video playback.



Also please check under Settings > Apps > Video Playback and see if there are any settings that may be messing around with video graphics.



You may also need to adjust power settings as Windows may be trying to conserve power. The problem may disappear after you change settings in

"Power & Sleep" to never turn off the display while on battery power.

Colors become less saturated while watching video.

The colors of the video are usually duller that expected. The colors remain less saturated, unless I move the webpage around. This issue occurs for every online video player I use. I've also seen this issue on every web browser, from Opera to Edge to Chrome. (Real 4K HDR_ TCL Four Basic Colors in HDR - YouTube - Google Chrome 2023-04-16 13-14-22.mp4)

Let me know what I can do to fix it.

I understand that you are facing issues with Color saturation on the computer, we will look into this for you. However, in order to get to the root cause of the issue, please reply with the following details:

• Does this issue occur only while playing games?
  
• Have you downloaded the games from Microsoft Store?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

You can refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



Method 1: Updating drivers



I suggest you to try updating the display drivers and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Display adapters.
   
3. Right click on the display driver and select
   Update Drivers.
   
4. Restart the computer if prompted.

Method 2: Calibrating Display color Profiles



You can try calibrating the Display Color Profiles as per your requirement and see if that helps. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Type Color Management in the search bar on the
   Taskbar and open it.
   
2. Click on Advanced Tab.
   
3. Click on Calibrate Display, and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the display.
   
4. If you want to change the Default system profile, and then click on
   Change system defaults, click on the profile that you want to make default and click on
   Set as default to make the profile as the default profile.
