Windows 10: Com Surrogate Dllhost.exe using too much system CPU resources

Greetings.I'm facing an issue with COM Surrogate using too much system resources, particularly the cpu, about 10-15% and it causes the CPU to boost and the fans in my laptop with it.It is caused by process id:{AB8902B4-09CA-4bb6-B78D-A8F59079A8D5}. It could be a fileless trojan forums are pointing to a 2014 Poweliks or a system issue where it cannot create a thumbnail for a media file.I have referred to old forum posts but they led me nowhere, the issue still persists after trying the following:- using Process Explorer and Process Monitor to find the file that the thumbnail cannot be genera

Interesting.
A COM surrogate thread is created when the dllhosts process does not trust what it is running.
It creates an unattached thread to run it in case if totally craps out so that it does not take out dllhosts with it.
A program itself can create a COM surrogate thread, but most issues are do to flakey code that the dllhosts process does not like.
I would be wary of disabling processes. This error is a sort of "catch all" for untrusted code.
I would look for incompatibilities in apps or drivers first.
